Asa Foss, LEED Homes Manager of Technical Development, explains how USGBC’s LEED for Homes rating system builds off of ENERGY STAR for new homes. Not only is the performance of ENERGY STAR homes a requirement for LEED Homes certification, but the verification process is built on the RESNET/ENERGY STAR model. In addition, there are credits for meeting Indoor air PLUS and Advanced Lighting Package requirements.
