This Indiana green business seminar covers Green Economic Development Strategies for Community and Brownfield Redevelopment
Join us for a day of presentations, updates and discussions concerning the “green revolution” in Indiana on Thursday, July 23rd. We will gather at the Electric Motors Corporation to hear from a variety of individuals representing businesses, design and development professionals along with organizations that are involved in the “green revolution” as part of their daily practices. Each has a different perspective concerning the realities of going green and the opportunities green represents.
Nappanee has been hit hard by the economic downturn and a devastating tornado, but is bouncing back with a strong shade of “green” as new community development strategies emerge. Across the state we are gaining a better understanding of what it means to “green” our businesses, campuses and public buildings. And now our entire communities!
Green summit will also feature a number of green entrepreneurs who will present or display their ideas and products. Existing green technologies and products will also be part of the summit as vendors and green business highlight their services and products.
A full day of speakers and events are planned along with featuring some of the “slow foods” being used by local restaurants and caterers. So bring your appetite, as we will provide lunch and dinner as part of the summit. Please bring your friends and colleagues – carpooling when ever possible. Those arriving by bicycle or buggy can enjoy additional saving on the registration! A discount for early registration ends on July 17th so take advantage register now!
If you have any questions please email us at GreenCities@bsu.edu or call Scott Truex at 317.696.6170.
