2009 Indy Solar Tour

On Saturday, October 3rd, the Indiana Renewable Energy Association will participate for the first time in the American Solar Energy Society’s  National Solar Tour.  The 2009 Indy Solar Tour will showcase both residential and commercial installations in the Indianapolis area.  Tour attendees will have the opportunity to see operating photovoltaic (PV), solar thermal, passive solar, and wind turbines.
The tour is free and self-guided.  The sites will be available for public tours from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., unless otherwise noted.  The tour kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, 1029 Fletcher Ave, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN  46204.  Other tour locations include Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Downtown , Conner Prairie, Broad Ripple Brewpub, Schmidt Associates, and as well residences in Indianapolis and Bargersville.
