Baker & Daniels and B&D Consulting invite you to join us for the ninth webinar in our 2009-10 series focusing on clean energy and climate change and developed by the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the American Bar Association.
The renewable energy industry survived 2009 intact with much promise but a clouded future. The economic stimulus package provided enormous support for the renewable energy community, but project development, investment and finance are still lagging. Congress did not pass a comprehensive energy and environmental legislative package but continues to work toward wide-ranging national legislation in 2010 with significant implications for the industry. Main Street has met Wall Street, but new business, technology and innovation, and small business have yet to flourish. Now, it’s 2010 — a bright new year with a brand new budget. What is the outlook for financing, development, infrastructure and the law for 2010?
Baker & Daniels and B&D Consulting will provide brief federal and state updates prior to the webinar (updates start promptly at 11:40 a.m. and the webinar begins at noon). A light lunch is provided and networking and discussion follow the webinar.
This event is presented free of charge, however, you must register in advance to receive the login instructions for attending remotely. Login instructions will be e-mailed to you prior to the webinar. Registration for onsite attendance is encouraged to allow us to plan for lunch.

The direct-to-consumer marketing of farm products, often referred to as “market gardening,” can help non-farmers get into the business of being growers and can help current farmers diversify the products they offer and the customers and markets they serve.
The goal of the 2009 Growing for Market series is to facilitate the entry of farmers and horticultural producers into the direct marketing opportunities available through well managed and strategically placed farmers’ and community markets.
What are the expected outcomes?
♦ Revitalized local farmers markets
♦ Assistance in establishing new markets
♦ Broader product availability at markets
♦ Increased farmers’ market attendance and customer satisfaction
♦ Increased farmer income from direct sales
♦ Improved displays and market presence
♦ Less market management “issues”
♦ Increased number of vendors identifying new marketing avenues
♦ Increased number of new income generating farmers
♦ Closer network of marketer clusters
♦ Continued learning and improvement fostered by improved local connections
