Ellen Jacquart, Director of Stewardship for the Indiana Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, will provide a presentation entitled, “Fighting Back - MC-IRIS Takes on Invasive Species in Monroe County.” A group of concerned citizens has formed Monroe County - Identify and Reduce Invasive Species (MC-IRIS) and is working to reduce the environmental and economic impact of invasive species in our county through education and action. This presentation will address why invasive species are a problem, and which are the worst invasive species in Monroe County. Information on how to identify invasive species and how they are damaging our natural areas will be shared. Have a weed on your land you want identified?
