There is no fee to attend. Guests are welcomed.

IndyMetroBALLE is a local not for profit membership organization that works with businesses, the public and government to educate about, advocate for and assist in building Local Living Economies in the Indianapolis Metropolitan  Community. Members businesses concerned not only with growth of the business profits, but to provide positive impact on long-term well being  of  our community, economy, culture, and quality of life.

How we accomplish this:

  • We build support for locally owned green businesses through highly visible educational campaigns that convey the many benefits these businesses bring to the community in making its economy self sufficient.
  • We level the playing field by making “locally – owned sustainable business” a strong brand that can counter the advertising advantages the chains enjoy by conducting coop advertising, community events, electronic newsletters, a local sustainable businesses online directory, and member-to-member business transactions.
  • We provide a strong voice for independent businesses in local media
  • We educate entrepreneurs on best practices for triple-bottom-line (people, planet, profit) management through monthly events, “greening your business” training encompassing: Pollution Prevention, Solid Waste Reduction, Energy Conservation, Water Conservation topics and peer-to-peer mentoring.
  • We work with banks, developers, community organizations, and others to create opportunities for local business development
